Weekly Event - Every 2 weeks - Every Monday: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (CT)
The biggest threat to your SharePoint implementation is a lack of understanding and agreement between your business and technology stakeholders. This workshop is a preview of the two-day Governance and Taxonomy Workshop. [FOR A 50-PAGE OVERVIEW OF THE PRIVATE WORKSHOP CONTENTS, PLEASE CLICK HERE]
Learn the fundamentals of taxonomy planning, governance planning and how to properly understand and communicate SharePoint?s role in your organization. The content will include:
1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY - An executive summary of SharePoint and its role in organizational computing
2. TAXONOMY PLANNING - An executive summary of SharePoint taxonomy planning. What is a taxonomy, why does it matter, what is the difference between a good one and a bad one, what is the difference between a "verb taxonomy" and a "noun taxonomy?"
3. GOVERNANCE PLANNING - What is the role of the business stakeholder in governance, and how does governance depend on taxonomy planning?
This conference is targeted on the mindset of the business leader and will not be a technically-intense course. It is designed to educate leaders and decision-makers in companies implementing SharePoint. The conference also provides IT professionals with the information and skill to be able to communicate the critical aspects of SharePoint governance to their leadership.
